Santa Cruz SCORE offers low-cost business training Workshops for start-up entrepreneurs
in addition to our no charge "face-to-face counseling" for start-up and in-business entrepreneurs.
Workshops are open to all US citizens over the age of 18. Training topics vary depending on the

The Workshops offer an opportunity to interact with others looking for small business solutions and
all Workshop presenters are SCORE Mentors who are practicing or retired professionals with years
of business experience from diverse industries.

"QuickSTART" Workshops Fall Series
A comprehensive and advanced offering, the QuickSTART series of workshops consist of five three hour evening sessions help you with:
Overview of many subjects that impact success or failure of your business
The concepts involved with creating a Business Plan
Marketing your product or service
Understanding business financials and how they work
How to present your business to obtain funding and available sources.
This five part series helps you evaluate your existing business or new business idea. It also gets you started writing your business plan.

Coming July 20th 5:00pm – 7:30pm, to the Watsonville Library, “Starting a Business in Watsonville”.
The Workshop is intended to help new and early-stage businesses get off to the right start by broadly
covering a wide range of subjects that will impact the success or failure of that business. Subjects
covered in the workshop include: Are you ready to Start a Business, Your Business Plan (Marketing,
Operations, Financial, Exit Strategy), Start-up Essentials, Funding Your Business, and Next Steps.
